After a nice day exploring Montreal, we headed to Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport to catch our flight to Istanbul but first, we decided to check out some lounges.

The first lounge we went to was the Maple Leaf Lounge and in my opinion, while a lot smaller, the lounge was much nicer than the MLL in Toronto.  The MLL in YUL definitely has a much more peaceful and serene feel to it, which is key in my opinion … but once again, no showers!

The room has a clean look and even though we arrived at the lounge about 1 hour before closing, there were still lots of hot food items to choose from, of which was a nice tortellini dish that was liberal on the cheese … something especially handy if you have a kid that loves pasta with cheese.  The only disappointment with this lounge was that it closed too early (2 hours before the last AC departure) so we had to make our way to another lounge to kill an additional hour.  And that lounge was a nightmare!  More on that in the next lounge review.

Of the MLLs that I have visited, this is probably my favorite as it was the most relaxing but caveat emptor, I have read some reviews that say that this lounge can become quit crowded as well.  Perhaps we were just lucky with our timing.
