Time Sensitive – Act Now for 5,000 SPG Points!!!

I don’t usually post on the weekends because that’s family time but I wanted to make an exception for this incredible and potentially time sensitive offer.

I posted about the new offer on the American Express SPG card which provided a sign-up bonus of 25,000 SPG points rather than the regular 20,000.  This is an amazing offer, and I would still encourage you to sign up for the card if you haven’t done so already.  It should be noted that this increased bonus is only valid until October 18, 2017.  I assume after this time, it will go back to the standard 20,000 SPG point sign-up bonus.

Now, this is great for those that haven’t gotten the card but what about those that already have the card? 99 times out of 100, you’re just out of luck.  But I’m here to tell you you have a chance at getting that additional 5,000 SPG!!!

Even if it’s been a while since you signed up for the SPG card, you can still make the request and there’s a really good chance AMEX will fulfil your request.  In fact, I got confirmation that AMEX will provide me with an additional 5,000 SPG points even though the account has been open for over 8 months!

Instructions

First off, a HUGE hat tip to Milesopedia and PekFlyer who pointed me in the right direction.  Here’s what you need to do in order to claim your additional 5,000 SPG points:

The first thing you need to do is log into your American Express account and click on the Contact Us link:

The Result

I sent the request this morning and at about 7:30 pm I received the following message from AMEX:

As you can see, I got EXCELLENT news!  I love these kinds of things where it’s like finding an extra $20 in your winter jacket!

Now your mileage may vary on this but for 2 minutes of work, it sure is worth a shot.

I would recommend you get on this RIGHT AWAY because who knows how long AMEX will honour these requests.

Good luck to you!
