A couple of days ago, I wrote about a tremendous deal to get between 25 – 37.5% off your next Fairmont stay.  The process required purchasing a gift card from Costco for LifeExperiences.ca and then using that gift card to purchase a Fairmont gift card.

The process was took a bit longer than I usually like but the savings realized certainly made it worth it.

The Process

After purchasing your LifeExperiences.ca gift card purchase from Costco, you will receive a gift card number and PIN for use on LifeExperiences.ca.

After about 36 hours (my experience), the gift card becomes live and you can use it on LifeExperience.ca:

Once you apply the gift certificate, you get a confirmation that the entire cost of the Fairmont gift certificate was paid for from the gift certificate you purchased from Costco:

After you enter your email and move onto the next step, you will receive confirmation that your order was successful:

The Result

After you complete the order on LifeExperiences.ca, you will receive an email with an attachment that contains your Fairmont Gift Certificate and PIN.  All you need to do is quote that Gift Certificate number and PIN when you make your reservation on the phone or online and it can be applied.  You can also apply the gift certificate during check-out as well.

Conclusion

While it might take a bit of time to go through the process, the chance to save between 25 and 37.5% off your next Fairmont stay is certainly worth it.  Now that you know that the offer is legitimate, I would encourage you to stock up if you have any Fairmont stays in your future.

  1. I’m confused. The gist of your original story was that masterpass gave a $25 discount on any purchase over $100. It has been well-documented on redflags that all these sales have been cancelled. Anyone can get the life experiences gift certs without the $25 promotion. Why are you keeping the 37.5% discount in the title?

    • Steve,

I have kept the 37.5% in the title because if you purchased something for $100 along with your gift card, you would receive the $25 rebate. If you then wanted to return that said $100 item at Costco … well then … you get the drift.
